Supporting travellers for the entire duration of their trip has become the philosophy of travel programmes. However, train station and airport transfers are the most stressful part of any trip and also represent an uncontrolled expense.
The chauffeur service market was worth 800 million euros in 2016, a figure expected to grow to 3 to 4 billion euros in 5 years in France alone. The markets in major European countries, such as the UK and Germany, have similar, or greater, potential.
Traveldoo are introducing travel policy management functions for “ground transportation and the partnership with SnapCar is the start of many initiatives. Adding ground transportation to your travel policy accomplishe two main objectives:
1. Efficiency and traveller comfort. Travellers want spacious vehicles, guaranteed punctuality, the ability to see on their smartphone when the driver arrives, availability at any time of the day or night and, in particular, they want to be sure they will not miss their train or flight.
2. Spending optimisation and control. With SnapCar, chauffeur services are less expensive than taxi accounts, but, most importantly, comprehensive and detailed visibility over spending on chauffeur services puts the company in control, all while enhancing the quality of the user experience.
The next step that Traveldoo and SnapCar are now embarking on is to integrate all aspects of the travel booking process. The first initiative will involve integrating mobile apps, then it will be possible to arrange airport transfers at the click of a mouse when booking the flight itself.
